The MCV Foundation Annual Dinner

The Country Club of Virginia ~ May 21, 2007

On May 21, 2007, the MCV Foundation celebrated its Board of Trustees Annual Dinner. Many Trustees attended, along with their spouses and guests, MCV Foundation staff, and MCV Campus Development Officers. In addition, we were extremely honored to have all five of the MCV Campus Schools' deans in attendance, as well as Drs. Retchin and Ginder, Mr. Peter Wyeth and Mr. John Duval. It was a delightful spring evening, permitting guests to gather on the veranda for conversation and cocktails before joining us in the Club's Main Ballroom for a delicious dinner of veal and crab cakes. Later in the evening, we were pleased to present the first-ever Michael B. Dowdy Volunteer Philanthropist Award to Becky Massey, a tireless fundraising volunteer for the Massey Cancer Center and wife of our Trustee, Bill Massey. In addition, the W. Robert Irby Award for Philanthropic Leadership was presented to Dr. Donald Abraham, who, unfortunately, was unable to join us for the evening's festivities.  Dean Victor Yanchick of the School of Pharmacy accepted the Award on Dr. Abraham's behalf.
