We can never say ‘Thank You’ enough

The MCV Campus continues to thrive, in no small part, because of the support of our donors. Every act of charity, whether large or small, has a direct impact on the people who serve and are served by this academic medical center. The MCV Foundation extends its gratitude to all who have made a contribution in cash or kind.

We proudly recognize contributors through two giving societies.

MCV Society

The Medical College of Virginia Society reserves membership for alumni and friends who make provisions in their estate plans for the MCV Foundation in support of MCV Campus entities. This distinguished group of individuals shares a vision of excellence for Virginia Commonwealth University’s MCV Campus.

The MCV Foundation created the former Heritage Society in 1994 to recognize and extend gratitude to those who have made provisions in their estate planning in support of any of the MCV Campus schools — Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy — as well as MCV Hospitals, Massey Cancer Center or the Tompkins-McCaw Library. The name of the Society was changed to the Medical College of Virginia Society in 2003 to recognize the tradition and heritage of the Medical College of Virginia name. Since its inception, the Society has steadily grown to more than 500 members.

Members receive a certificate of membership and a pin, and their names are inscribed on a permanent roster on display at the MCV Alumni House. Periodically, special events are held exclusively in their honor, and they are recognized in university and MCV Foundation publications.

Founders’ Society

The Founders’ Society honors individuals, corporations and foundations that have made cumulative commitments of $100,000 or more to the university or associated foundations, including the MCV Foundation and its MCV Campus partners.
