Basil Leonard Hurst III

Basil Leonard Hurst III joined the MCV Foundation board in 2013.

Beau is a partner and head of business development and investor relations at Stelliam Investment Management in New York. Previously, he held similar positions at Plural Investments in New York, Private Advisors in Richmond, and Lazard Asset Management in London. He has more than a decade of prior foreign exchange, fixed income, futures and options trading experience in New York, London, Australia and Singapore.

Beau holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia and is a former member of the Investment Committee of the Richmond Retirement System. Beau, his wife Sarah, and their four boys live in Richmond and have firsthand experience with the quality of care at VCU Health.
