Charles F. Crone
Charles F. Crone joined the MCV Foundation board in 1994.
Charles retired as vice president of Williamsburg Pottery in 1990 after 30 years with the company. He and his wife Ginny have been involved with the MCV Campus since 1986 when Eddy Dalton, former first lady of Virginia, brought Charles to Richmond to introduce him to VCU Massey Cancer Center. He was asked to be a founding member of Massey’s advisory board. Over the years, Charles and Ginny have extended their support across the MCV Campus to the Department of Neurosurgery, Pauley Heart Center, the School of Nursing, and numerous other schools, departments and programs. He and Ginny currently serve on the MCV Foundation’s Discovery Series Host Committee in Williamsburg.
“My introduction to the Massey Cancer Center was fortuitous, because I was diagnosed with lymphoma after several years of board service,” Charles says. “I now personally understand the commitment of the physicians and staff at this fine institution to making life better for everyone.”
