George P. Emerson Jr.

George P. Emerson Jr. joined the MCV Foundation board in 2015.

George founded Emerson Companies LLC, which focuses on commercial, industrial and institutional development projects. Today, he is the principal of Emerson Companies, which focuses on development projects throughout the Richmond region.

His community service includes time on the boards of the VCU Real Estate Foundation, VCU Massey Cancer Center, VCU Medical Center, Community Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Henricus Park. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at VCU in 1978 and moved directly into a career in real estate.

George lives with his wife Darlene in Chester where they spend time with their seven grandchildren.
