Hina B. Shah joined the MCV Foundation board in 2025.
Shah is a public health strategist with nearly 20 years of experience leading transformative public health initiatives and policy advancements.
She specializes in health equity, research methods, data analytics, and program evaluation, focusing on addressing critical information gaps and fostering cross-sector partnerships. Shah has facilitated statewide action planning on mental health modernization, child welfare, juvenile justice, autism, crisis response, and substance use prevention.
Nationally, she has led behavioral health innovation by adapting peer-learning models for youth mental health and vaping cessation in schools, advanced pediatric emergency care, supported the 988 Lifeline implementation, and provided technical assistance on the National Children’s Study.
Shah holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan. Fluent in Hindi and Gujarati, she is passionate about fostering inclusive, evidence-informed solutions that strengthen communities.
