Robert F. Norfleet Jr. joined the MCV Foundation board in 2015.
Rob retired as corporate executive vice president and senior credit officer with SunTrust Bank after 30 years of service. He joined the company then known as United Virginia Bank in 1967 and held a number of positions, including president of the Capital Region. Before joining the bank, he served three years as a Navy officer, including time in Vietnam.
Always active in the community, Rob is a past chair of the Capital Region Airport Commission and past chair of the boards of the Metro Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation and the Valentine Museum. He is currently a trustee on the board of The Scott Foundation.
Rob graduated from Washington and Lee University with a major in English and received a graduate degree from Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He and his wife Jane Seymour Elliott reside in Richmond. They have two sons and three grandchildren.
