Alex Cecil

Alex Cecil joined the board of the MCV Foundation in 2020.

Alex leads the Compliance team at Markel Corporation.  Prior to joining Markel, he was chief compliance officer for BB&T Securities where he served as a member of the Board of Managers.  In addition, he was an active member of the Securities Industry Financial Markets Association's General Counsel/CCO Leadership Group.

Alex graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia.
