Diana F. Cantor

Diana Cantor joined the MCV Foundation board in July 2026. She is a highly accomplished investment and governance leader whose career spans investment management, financial services, law and corporate board leadership. She serves on the Investment Committee and Board of Managers of Alternative Investment Management LLC, and is a senior adviser to AKF Consulting Group, where she focuses on governance and fiduciary oversight of state-run investment programs. In addition, Ms. Cantor serves as the chair of the VCU Health System Authority Board of Directors and is a past chair of the Board and Trustee of the Virginia Retirement System.

Ms. Cantor previously served as a managing director of New York Private Bank & Trust and was the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Virginia College Savings Plan, leading the state’s Section 529 programs for more than a decade. Earlier in her career, she was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. leading the Principal Investments Group and practiced real estate law. 

A seasoned public company director, Ms. Cantor currently serves on the boards of VICI Properties Inc. and Universal Corporation and previously served on the boards of Domino’s Pizza Inc., Revlon Inc., Media General Inc., and The Edelman Financial Group Inc. A CPA and licensed attorney, Ms. Cantor holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida's School of Accounting, a master's degree in business administration from the University of Miami and a law degree from New York University.
