Ghulam D. Qureshi, M.D.

Ghulam D. Qureshi, M.D., joined the MCV Foundation board in 2015.

A 1964 graduate of King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, Ghulam came to Richmond in 1965 to complete an internship at Johnston-Willis Hospital and a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He also completed a clinical hematology fellowship at MCV and a research fellowship at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. In addition, he studied at London School of Tropical Medicine in England, where he is a Fellow of Royal Society of Tropical Medicine.

Ghulam served as a professor of medicine at the VCU School of Medicine from 1974 to 1988. He merged his successful Richmond practice at West End Hematology and Medical Oncology Group with the Virginia Cancer Institute in 2013. A native of Pakistan, he is board certified in both internal medicine and hematology. He treats patients in Virginia Cancer Institute’s Reynold's Crossing location. His areas of interest include benign and malignant hematology, colon cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma.
