Robert “Bob” C. Canfield

Bob Canfield joined the MCV Foundation Board of Trustees in 2018.

He is the retired director of branch development for Ferguson Enterprises, a diverse distributor with operations spanning multiple business groups.

After serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy, Bob joined Ferguson Enterprises at a time when its sales were $12 million, and over the course of Bob’s career he saw the company grow to more than $10 billion in annual revenues and gained an appreciation of the challenges of scale. Bob’s experiences over his career include outside sales, branch management, marketing and product management, acquisitions, and business integration.

Bob sits on the Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg Board of Directors. In addition, he serves as chairman on the Literacy for Life Advisory Board.

Bob and his wife Louise are members of the MCV Foundation’s Discovery Series Host Committee and Discovery Society. They have been VCU School of Medicine and VCU Massey Cancer Center donors since 2016.
