Eric Peters

Eric joined the MCV Foundation in 2017 as a marketing communications manager. Prior to that role, he worked at VCU as a public relations specialist where he managed media relations and news content for the health sciences schools and spent time as public relations manager for the Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research. He also worked in the federal government for nearly two years, which included time working in a Cabinet secretary’s public affairs office, before returning to the MCV Campus. He began leading the MCV Foundation communications team in 2021.

Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from VCU, a master’s degree in corporate and professional communication from Radford University, a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in nonprofit management from VCU, a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Harvard University and accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America. He also earned a certificate in leadership from Wake Forest University and completed the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Emerging Chief Marketing Officer program. He lives in Richmond with his wife and two children.
