Margaret Ann Bollmeier
Margaret Ann has served as president and CEO of the Medical College of Virginia Foundation since 2015. MCV Foundation is an independent foundation which is the philanthropic partner for the health sciences campus at Virginia Commonwealth University. The Foundation has over $800 million in assets under management and supports fundraising and marketing communications for five health sciences schools, a hospital and clinic network and an NCI comprehensive cancer center. Margaret Ann provides strategic leadership aimed at strengthening the MCV Foundation’s philanthropic efforts and relationships in the community and at VCU.
Previously, Margaret Ann served as associate dean at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, executive director of the School of Education Foundation at the University of Virginia, and assistant dean for advancement in the College of Education at the University of Washington. Before moving to higher education, Margaret Ann was president and CEO of Humanities Washington, a public foundation and the Washington state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, for 10 years. She also served as director of development of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Margaret Ann received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law. Although she began her career as an attorney, Margaret Ann transitioned to a career in philanthropy at Providence Medical Center Foundation in Seattle, Washington, where she served as the director of gift planning and major gifts.
Margaret Ann currently serves on the AGB Council of Foundation Leaders and the ChamberRVA board of directors.
