VCU School of Dentistry Faculty and Alumni Well Represented Among Richmond’s Top Dentists

Nearly all the dental professionals named this month in Richmond magazine’s Top Dentists list are affiliated with VCU, a nod to the impact of Virginia’s only dental school in teaching future generations as well as serving the community both on and off the MCV campus.

The magazine’s annual July list includes dental professionals in 18 specialty categories, from general dentistry, dental hygienists, hospital dentistry and orthodontics to periodontics and oral and maxillofacial radiology, pathology and surgery.

This year, 77 of the 88 selected professionals are alumni or current faculty. They are selected by their peers through an annual survey.

“The overwhelming presence of VCU School of Dentistry faculty and alumni on the list is a testament to the impact the school has throughout the Richmond community and across Virginia,” said Lyndon Cooper, D.D.S., Ph.D., dean of the VCU School of Dentistry. “Congratulations to all of the Top Dentists serving our community.”
